Michel Legrand, who composed the score for the non-Eon Bond film Never Say Never Again (1983) with Sean Connery, was born on 24th February 1932 in France.

As well as providing the jazz influenced score for Kevin McClory’s Thunderball remake, he also provided the music for the theme song, with lyrics by  Alan and Marilyn Bergman. It was performed by Lani Hall.
