Welcome to the crazy time that is Emmy consideration season in Hollywoodland, when the skies are dominated by TV shows trying to garner the attention of TV Academy voters, all hoping to secure nominations for their rookie and veteran shows, specials and telefilms alike.
In recent years proceedings have been made even more competitive with the advent of subscription streaming services taking on the established broadcast and cable networks and channels with their own original content.

Emmy nominations will be announced live on July 13, 2017, but until then it's all-out war around the streets and skies of L.A.
Today kicking off our very special Emmy-themed week is Netflix, the former postal video rental company that morphed itself int he digital age to upset the apple cart of television, but also brought about a new golden age of compelling dramas, comedies and documentary series.

Speaking of drama and Netflix captivated audiences last year with its lavish and costly period show about the early days of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown.
The mix of royal intrigue, forbidden romances and political scheming earned the freshman show two Golden Globes, so can the critically-acclaimed series enjoy Emmy success this season too.
These Emmy Award consideration billboards were first photographed above West Hollywood's Sunset Plaza on May 18, then snapped further east along the Sunset Strip and along Olympic Boulevard through June 9, 2017.
Another fan-favourie returning for its fifth season this June is women's prison dramedy Orange is the New Black, although this Emmy season is for series aired from June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2017 concerns the show's fourth season which saw the death of Samira Wiley's 'Poussey Washington' character.
This appropriately orange consideration billboard for OITNB was captured high above West Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard at La Cienega Boulevard on June 2, 2017.
Meanwhile the third season of British science fiction anthology series Black Mirror delivered some frightening glimpses of modern technology gone wild last year.
This 'Excellent' Emmy consideration billboard for the show was snapped above La Cienega Boulevard on May 23, 2017, and the 'We'll know if you consider' tagline is wittily spot on for the series.
Speaking of sci-fi and Netflix also delivered more strange and compelling outlandish ideas this past year, with The OA.
The series starring Brit Marling as 'The Original Angel' mixed elements of supernatural, mystery and fantasy genres to deliver eight episodes of binge-worthy viewing.

The original billboard for the stand-up special on stage in Washington, D.C. was snapped along the Sunset Strip on April 9, whilst the tailored Emmy consideration version was spotted above Robertson Boulevard on May 23, 2017.
