At the age of 54, John Stamos is about to be a first-time dad with wife Caitlin McHugh and he couldn’t be happier. Lori Loughlin has worked with him for years first on Full House and now the new show Fuller House on Netflix. She knows John really well and is speaking out about how great of a dad he will be.

Recently, E! Online got a chance to chat with Lori Loughlin and she didn’t hold back about her thoughts on what kind of dad John will be when his first child gets here. She shared her thoughts.
“I don’t think John needs any parental advice. I think John is going to be a great dad but of course he knows I’m here for him should he need any but I think him and Caitlin have it covered. I will say this. He is very complimentary to me about my own girls. I have two girls who are 18 and 19 and he just adores them.”
After that, Lori went on to explain that John Stamos even told her that he feels like Lori and her husband should write a book about parenting. Lori doesn’t feel like they should actually go for it, but she does think it was a “sweet” comment from him.

People shared back in December that Caitlin and John were expecting their first child together. At the time, they were just engaged. John shared saying, “We have the same morals and the same values, that all clicked nicely. So we said, ‘Oh, well, maybe we should have a family.” He admitted that Caitlin even teased him they should have children before marriage because he is “old.” The pair had been dating for about two years before getting engaged.
This pregnancy sounds like it was a surprise and just happened, but John Stamos said once he found out about it he decided that he better put a ring on it. John teased that he has had a lot of practice with the dad thing already. The thing is he knew he wanted to marry her already, so it was just all about actually going through with it and doing it. Caitlin shared about how excited John was about the news.
“The look on John’s face when I told him we were pregnant was priceless. It was the look of a man who has wanted a family of his own but wasn’t sure it was going to happen for him. Now it is!”
Everyone can’t wait to see John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh’s baby when it gets here. For now, they are keeping the sex of their baby a secret. Knowing that Lori says he will be a great father is a huge compliment.
