Moore was not raised in a particular faith or religion. Most sources say that she has moved from religion to religion according to the stages in her life. She has tried various religions, now seeming to settle on Kabbalah, the Jewish sect made famous by various celebrities including Madonna and Britney Spears. The Actress once mentioned that even though she didn't grow up Jewish but is more exposed to the deeper meanings of particular rituals than any of her friends. Its safe to say that the actress is religious.

Moore is a liberal Democrat. She supported Obama's campaign in 2008 and is supported his 2012 bid as well. She also commented that she would pledge to be a servant to her president. The actress and her husband Ashton Kutcher also set up a foundation called DNA, the mission of which is to raise awareness and prevent child sex trafficking. 

Moore got married to singer Freddy Moore at the age of 17, on the 8th of February 1980 and he was recently divorced for his first wife, Lucy. She began using his surname as her stage name. Their divorce was finalised on 7th of August 1985. She was then engaged to actor Emilio Estevez and planned to marry in December 1986 but called off the engagement. She then got married to actor Bruce Willis on the 21st of December 1987 and they have three daughters together, Rumer born on the 16th of August 1988, Scout born on the 20th of July 1991 and Tallulah born on the 3rd of February 1994. They were separated and their divorce was finalised on the 18th of October 2000. Moore bagel dating actor Ashton Kutcher in 2003 and they got married on the 24th of September 2005. The couple was separated for over a year and Kutcher filed for divorce in 2012. Their divorce was finalised on the 27th of November 2013. 

The actress is a huge Arsenal fan and often watches the matches in her free time and also attends home games whenever she is in London. She also enjoys being fit and hence practises yoga. She also likes spending time with family and friends. 

She hired three cameramen to videotape the birth of her first child.

She is an avid doll collector and keeps a separate residence in Idaho to house her 2000 vintage dolls. She hopes to someday open a doll museum.
