Tatiana Tsimfer of Russia is Miss United Continents 2017

Miss Russia Tatiana Tsimfer bested 32 other candidates to win the new crown and title of Miss United Continents 2017. She was crowned by outgoing Miss United Continents 2016 Jesslyn Santos from the Philippines.

This is the first time that Russia sent a delegate to the South American Pageant. Miss United Continents was founded in 2006 in Ecuador. The owner of the pageant, Maria del Carmen de Aguayo, also runs the Miss Ecuador pageant that sends its winner to Miss Universe.

Tatiana Tsimfer is also the first European winner of the pageant. She also won the Miss Punctuality award.

Finishing in second place is another European country, Ukraine courtesy of Alina Pigun. While placing third is Roxana Reyes from Mexico, the highest placing Latin American country in the pageant.

Fourth place goes to Thailand’s Aoom Phingchamrat. Thailand also brought home two special awards, the Miss Photogenic and Best in National Costume Award. Settling at fifth place is the heavy favorite and preliminary frontrunner Yennifer Hernandez of Colombia. Completing the winners’ circle in sixth place is Jeisy Rodriguez of the Dominican Republic.

The rest of the top 10 are Ecuador, India, South Africa, and Venezuela. Miss Ecuador won the Miss Friendship award while Panama and Japan grabbed the second and third places for the Best in National Costume category.
