Interview with Horror Author Maese Delta

In this article we have an exclusive interview with Horror Author Maese Delta, Author of Crimson Malice. Let’s get this interview started.
Jonuel: What kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before beginning a book?
Maese: Browsing or rereading the classics or books that have influenced me, in both English and Spanish. What a novel does not bring me, I turn to encyclopedias or the Internet. It usually takes for some days before starting to write the book.
Jonuel: Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
Maese: For the world of Everdant, yes. I've written four novellas and some short stories that add to the lore. They all serve as a threshold for what I intend as my magnum opus, a two-volume novel which I wrote between 2001-2010.
Jonuel: How do you select the names of your characters?
Maese: When it comes to fantasy, I'll come up with the names that get to have a reason, given their country of birth or culture, not just some random idea. Of course, since I write in both Spanish and English, it gets tricky when it comes to translating, since it may involve wordplay, as well as a certain ‘sound’ when uttered.
Jonuel: How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?
Maese: 10 stories finished yet unpublished, though Crimson Malice being the first one to be published.
Jonuel: How many hours a day do you write?
Maese: Two or three hours. Whether in chapters or just writing down some ideas. However, I’ve had the habit of outlining my stories by writing just the chapter names, from beginning to end.
