Sri Mahamariamman Temple is another worth visiting Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur. This is the oldest one and built in 1873. The best time to visit is during the Hindu Deepavali festival which is held at temple ground every year in between September to November. Guan Di Temple

Guan Di Temple is the oldest Chinese Temple in Kuala Lumpur and built in 1888. This 121-year old beautiful temple is worth visiting if you’re in China Town, just 40 meters away from Sri Mahamariamman Temple. Guan Di Temple is also known as Kuan Ti Temple.

Guan Di Temple has been built to give honor to Guan Di. He was the powerful warrior and the God of War and Literature. It is believed that he protects everyone from the evil and so all Chinese pray to him.

You don’t have to buy any ticket to visit or worship inside this free sightseeing spot of Guan Di Temple. Every day morning to evening (7 am – 7 pm) this temple is open to all visitors.

You must have to take off your shoes while going for worship inside any of the temples. Appropriate and well-covered clothing is recommended while visiting the temple, to respect the local Chinese and Hindu cultures.
