Lineside Liaisons #5 Ballarat

The timeless afternoon service from Ballarat.

Taken back in December 2005, this photo of an Afternoon Sprinter railcar service departing Ballarat Station beneath the famous signal bridge is from my book 30 Years Chasing Trains. Ballarat is considered the birthplace of Australia's Gold Rush, and Ballarat Railway Station dates back to 1862.
