Grojogan Sewu Waterfall is one which is in Central Java. Located in Tawangmangu, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. Grojogan Sewu Waterfall is located on the slopes of Mount Lawu. Grojogan Sewu is located approximately 27 km east of the town of Karanganyar. Grojogan Sewu waterfall is part of Forest Grojogan Sewu.

Grojogan Sewu waterfall means one thousand. Although the waterfalls here did not amount to a thousand, but there is some point of the waterfall which can be enjoyed here. Sewu or a thousand words here comes from a thousand pecak, or unit of distance used at that time which is a high waterfall. One pecak soles equal to one adult. The highest waterfall is approximately 80 meters high. There is also a waterfall is not very high but pancurannya extends to form the branches. When is the rainy season, around the cliffs will be bombarded waterfalls, but in summer, many a dry waterfall.




Forest Grojogan Sewu has an area of 20 Ha. This overgrown forest areas of various types of forest trees and populated by a bunch of apes are benign. Some of the facilities of this forest is a Forest Zoo Garden, swimming pool, rest areas, food stalls, stalls of fruits and souvenirs, a prayer hall and sanitary facility.
