Trinity Lake

July, already?

This summer has been flying by. We're trying to spend as much time outdoors as possible before the beautiful weather is over. As one weekend comes to a close, we're already moving on to plans for the next one.

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went camping at Trinity Lake with some of Jeff's cousins. It was the first time we went camping in this part of the state. We got rained on the last day we were there (we learned that it's usually very rainy at this time of year so I'd say we had great weather). Our tent, which is the one Jeff's family used when he was a kid, has some leaks I need to patch up before we end up using it again. Jeff rented a boat, the guys went fishing, and cousin Sarah and I tried to do some sunbathing. We ended up bundling ourselves in blankets and beach towels instead because the winds were kind of cold on the lake. Even with a bit of bad weather, we all had a great time and I'm ready to go camping again.

In case you're wondering, those are indeed life jackets that Stan and Joe are wearing. I bought my dogs life jackets (lol) because even though they know how to swim, I'm paranoid. Also, they look so cute in them! Luckily neither dog went overboard and everyone was well-behaved on the boat, dogs and humans alike.
