Michaelangelo is an Italian restaurant located in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant is hidden in the al-fresco dining lane in Pavilion opposite Starbucks Café. Once you stepped into the restaurant, you will be mesmerized by the Italian interior design. From the Italian inspired paintings to the details like chairs and tables, Michaelangelo Italian Restaurant is an ideal place for casual dining or dining for celebrations.

They are offering the US Potato Culinary Menu from now until 31^st July 2018. This year, the US Potato Board collaborates with 14 restaurants in KL to serve a limited time menu feature U.S fresh and frozen potatoes.

Why U.S. Potatoes? Do you know that U.S. potatoes contain high “solids” and low sugar content? Not forgetting that the U.S. industry standards are demanding and must meet all Food and Drug Administration and USDA specifications.  The rich soil, the ideal growing temperaturs, state-of-the-art processing facilities and generations of expertise offer processors high-quality potatoes from a plentiful year-round supply.

Even if you shop in supermarkets, the U.S. potatoes are more desirable in appearance, taste and texture. Thus, potatoes are in dispensable source of nutrient and 148g potato packs only 110 calories and rich with potassium and Vitamin C.

The U.S. Waffle Fries with sautéed chicken and mushroom served with avocado pineapple salsa and jalapeno dip. The waffle fries is crispy in texture and you can taste the different with the US potatoes. It complements well with the sautéed chicken with hints of saltiness and the wonderful combination of flavours of pineapple salsa and jalapeno dip.

The Potato Roulade is baked thinly sliced U.S. Potatoes rolled with parmesan cheese, ground beef, spinach and ricotta cheese, served with garlic U.S. Potato Wedges and crudité salad.

The potato roulade looks like a bread but it is not! It is a layered potato! The process of making this potato roulade is pure hard work and cooking skills. This potato roulade looks ‘simple’ but the hard work behind it is real. Each bite you get different layers, texture and taste of the combination of U.S Potatoes and the beef, the cheese and the whole shebang. The taste is pretty good and if you are a big fan of roulade, you should try this potato version.

Spaghetti Marinara Sizzlelini or Spaghetti Seafood Marinara is one of their signature dishes. Served in a hot pan, the spaghetti marinara sizzlelini comes with a generous amount of seafood such as prawns, musssels and squids. The spaghetti is al-dente and it goes well with the tomato based sauce.
