Bai Nian Niang Yong Tau Fu Albert Centre Market & Food Centre Singapore

Bai Nian Niang Yong Tau Fu Albert Centre Market & Food Centre Singapore

There is always the debate that which country offers the better same food, Singapore or Malaysia? Coming from Malaysia, we always feel that Singapore food is overrated. However, on our recent trip to the Lion City we found quite a number of good food in food centres (we called it food court in Malaysia).

How to spot good food in food centres in Singapore?

There are always one or two good food stalls in any food centres in Singapore. It is easy to find them. The stall with long queues are the better ones. The longer the queue, the better is their food. Singaporeans are popular in queuing for good food even though it took them a long time.

That is how we found Bai Nian Niang. We also found some newspaper write ups on their walls.

For small set is $4.50 and large set is $5.50. We ordered the huge set.

Their version of yong tau fu comes everything in the soup. To be honest, the yong tau fu here is very tasty.

What we like is the taste of the meat. It is well marinated and the taste is really good. Same goes to the prawn paste, each and every bite can taste the freshness of the prawn.

It complements well with the sweet and chili sauce (not in the pictures). Thus, the soup is tasty too.

This version of yong tau fu is not as greasy as the ones in Malaysia. The taste is different (due to the mixture of the meat paste) but it has its own charms.

This is simple and good food. Address is as below.
