May Brings Heavy Nighttime Traffic To LAX

Heavy nighttime traffic

If you’ve been to LAX during the past few days, you may have noticed a major increase in Nighttime Traffic. That’s because, beginning May 1st, from midnight until 8am, LAX is closing the three right lanes from Terminal 3 and Tom Bradley International.

This is all part of a multibillion-dollar modernization of the nation’s third busiest airport and willl lay the groundwork for the new $1.6 billion dollar Midfield Satellite Concourse that will connect to the Bradley terminal via an underground tunnel. If you’re dropping of or picking up passengers, you should allow ample travel time to allow for delays. For outbound travelers, LAX is suggesting you arrive up to 2 hours early for domestic flights and atleast 3 hours early for international flights to accomates the Heavy Nighttime Traffic.

If you are using a car service like ATLS Express, please coordinate your pickup time with the dispatcher to allow for the heavy traffic. Remember, as a rule of thumb, 10 – 15 minuets can translate to an additional hour or more of travel time.
