Goa Tourism Department will soon use WhatsApp to free the beaches from garbage

Goa state Tourism Department will release a WhatsApp No. very soon to get the complaint directly from the local and tourists community related to cleanliness at the several filthy Goa beaches

This proposal has come up during a meeting along with other major and minor issues at many world class beaches located in the state including encroachment by vendors or other illegal unauthorised activities. State Tourism department officials have given a clear message that the required action will be taken within 24 hours against any of such complaint received.

The individual will have to geo-tag the affected spot and send the location’s GPS through globally popular mobile messaging application ‘WhatsApp’. The message will be forwarded to numerous of cleaning authority and will be monitored by the locale contractor and the ministry of tourism together.

“The purpose of this initiative is to make sure the direct participation of local inhabitants towards maintaining and appreciating the attractiveness of the state,” Manohar Azgaonkar, tourism minister of Goa said, he further added that at the time being this move will temporary.

“This practice will be together suitable and supportive in keeping an observation that the complaints are solved by the service provider,” he added.
