HOW TO KEEP THE KIDS BUSY IN THE AIRPORT?

Kids are very much of a priority when you are traveling with them and so it automatically becomes your responsibility to keep them occupied and not let them get bored even once. Because if that happens then we are the ones who will be troubled and we don’t want that for sure. To be precise, we can always keep them occupied when we are on board but there is a time when we have to wait in the airports and that is when you actually face the test of controlling your child or keep them busy. So let’s talk about some Airport activities for kids.

Now how to keep the kids busy in the airport?

Well that is an interesting question to ask because I have got an interesting answer. Airport Activities for kids must be really the solution to this and I would like to elaborate more about this.  To be honest, this is a major issue when you prefer traveling with your kids. I love going out with my kids and I make sure to take them wherever I go. Being a travel writer and that too being a travel Mommy writer is fun though it is tough sometimes. I am sure you will be able to do it by taking shifts if you are traveling as a couple with your kids. It is surely going to be an amazing trip having your kids with you and so to add some more relief to it, I am here writing about some of the airport activities for kids that can keep them occupied and you will be stress-free at least in their case.

PLANE SPOTTING:

This is a simple thing that you can make your kids do and I am 100% confident that they will concentrate as if this is a life test for them. Just make them sit or stand near the window panes or the glass from where they can see the runway and the sky. Show them a plane and ask them to spot the ones they see from next time. This is a game that will increase their excitement and hopes and that in turn will keep them busy and you don’t even have to put much effort. As a reward, you will get to hear them scream and smile and giggle in excitement when they spot one. My baby is 4 years old and she loves to run around and greet people and by that I mean to say that she loves getting lost in the crowd according to me. Planespotting is something that keeps her in one place as she is so lost in the count that she forgets the world.

FIND A PLAY AREA

Now this is a bit difficult. Not all the airports have play areas. But that doesn’t mean you cannot find them a play area. I have been to many countries and sometimes I have had this issue with airports and couldn’t find play areas for my baby. So I used to find a corner near the glass or somewhere quiet where I can sit down with her on the floor and let her play silly games with me. It could be thumb fight or ‘guess the letter’ or peekaboo or pulling out any private toy of hers and settle her down. I don’t believe in handing over the gadgets to my kid because I find it seriously a problem. They are kids. They need to chill and play normally and not like some adult gadget freaks. (No offense please!) I just like keeping her in natural surroundings. I don’t want her typing away names in the YouTube even before she learns the spellings of words. What you do to keep them occupied is up to you if you don’t find a play area but then a play area is always a healthy place to keep your child because they get to mingle well with the other kids and that is a sight to see. Chaos!

LET FOOD KEEP THEM BUSY:

So this might not be a part of airport activities for kids but this trick I also a part of keeping your kids chilled out. But it rarely works with my baby as she goes nuts when she sees food. She doesn’t like FOOD! I don’t know how she got this trait but then because she has it, I have to try and pull this factor out of her. I took time finding out a remedy and i finally I can actually keep her busy with food too. She loves staring at colorful things and that also lead to her trying to bite every colorful thing she used to see. She didn’t even spare the leash of our dog and that gave me this idea of making her food look colorful. I follow the same trick in the airports too. I try looking for colorful food items and platter them all in one place and make her eat them. Voila! She doesn’t hesitate. She says Yellow for pink but then I don’t mind as long as her mouth is stuffed with food. Ah! Sweet rest!

NAP TIMES ARE A RELIEF:

If your kids are not at all like my child and sleep as soon as you pat them and ask them to sleep then I am already jealous of you. You are declared the lucky parents if your child willfully sleeps once you make them to. Kids usually get restless when they are asked to travel and so they keep jumping here and there using away all their energy and also using ours. So if your children are good at it then it is better to put them to sleep.

So this was all I wanted to share about airport activities for kids and I also wanted to tell you that Indian Eagle is offering some amazing offers and deals on all the flight services including the last minute flights and that means you can now make last minute plans too. I have been traveling in business class flights to keep my baby comfortable and I am glad that these people book them also in the last minute if needed. Do not miss this opportunity. Check them out and stay in touch for some more freshly brewed content.
