Klik Belts 1.5″ Matte Black 2-Ply Review

Background

It has been a few years since I have worn a Belt on the reg. I only dress up on rare occasions. As a freelance web developer that works from home, I guess that comes with the territory. Yes, I am that guy pushing thirty you probably judge for walking around with saggy pants. I’m somewhat of a slob. What gives?

However, a week ago that all changed, when I received a stylish, functional, and seemingly indestructible belt from Kilk Belts. I can’t believe how much I love this thing! And the best part? The “patented world’s strongest” Cobra buckle. It is unbelievably satisfying to click that baby in and equally gratifying to release it when it is time to drop trou.

I decided on the 1.5″ Matte Black 2-Ply belt for a couple of reasons: 1) The matte black looks dapper AF and 2) The 2-Ply webbing is tactical duty, which means if I need to attach a holster to hold gear, its rigidity will handle the extra weight. If you don’t need that feature, Klik Belts also makes 1-Ply belts.

Full Review

Simply put, Klik Belts have managed to make the best belt I have ever owned. Not surprisingly, their belts are popular within the military, law enforcement, first responders, hunters, etc.

I am confident it is because Klik Belts are rigid, durable yet lightweight, and easy to use. In those fields, the aforementioned features are essential.

For hikers, wilderness backpackers, and anyone else that spends time in the outdoors, the same features are hugely beneficial.

Reservations

The only reservation I have about Kilk Belts’ belt, is the tediousness of moving it from one pair of pants to another. Once you undo the buckle, you have to unthread the webbing from the male connector portion in order to slide it through standard-sized pant loops. However, it doesn’t take long to get used to this process, and it is still faster than a cowboy belt buckle.

Final Thoughts

If you wear a belt, Klik Belts are a worthwhile upgrade. If not, maybe it is time to rethink your approach. I am sure happy I did. Don’t get caught with your pants down again! It is time to secure your britches.
