Honeymoon in the Seychelles, a dream trip

Hidden coves and intimate corners under the mango trees - only a slight breeze and the gentle roar of the waves will disturb your romantic honeymoon in the Seychelles. The water in the sea of bright turquoise is clear, dark green vegetation is abundant, granitic islands glittering shine in the Indian Ocean - this setting for couples in seventh heaven is perfect. Your dreams of paradise will turn into reality and promise a harmonious common happiness. You just need to enjoy the quiet life, before the soft twilight hour of happiness.

The best time to go to Seychelles

Since the climate is tropical and the archipelago is located outside the cyclone belt, you can go there all throughout the year. But if you want to avoid the seizure of rain, it is better to focus during the period between April and early October. For example, the end of September which is the perfect moment for wonderful romantic getaways.

Why the Seychelles for your Honeymoon?

An idyllic setting

The post card idyllic setting of Seychelles and reputation are largely justified. It's not just beautiful, it’s compelling and attractive. A translucent blue sea and green blocks of rocks worked by the rain and especially a very generous vegetation. You can swim with the fish just meters from the beach or relax under a coconut tree.

The friendliness of the people

In all hotels, staff is fussing. But somehow it's their job. Yet, it is amazing to see the kindness and friendliness of the inhabitants of the archipelago. They are always ready to help with a smile and even stop in the street to ask how is the day.

Incredible discoveries

The gossips say that there is nothing to do in Seychelles. It's all false! On the main islands, including Mahé, you should visit the capital Victoria with its market, its magnificent Hindu temple, the Botanical Garden and the National Museum. By car or bus, you can visit the Mission, a former residence created to give shelter to orphans from slavery and do not miss going at the discovery of the tea factory. A must-do in southern part of Mahé is visiting its sublime beaches of Beau Vallon and Anse Soleil.

On Praslin, the neighboring island, there is a mandatory stop in La Vallée de Mai. A nature reserve listed as a World Heritage of UNESCO and populated with  sea coconut that are commonly called "coconut-buttocks." This is also the emblem of the Seychelles. The beaches we recommend are Anse Lazio, probably the most beautiful beach of the archipelago and Anse Georgette which is equally amazing.

On La Digue, the third of the main islands, no cars are allowed. You should rent a bike on site but do not worry, there are plenty of small stands for. And if you are one of those who prefer something different, why not have an ox ride. Must dos on la Digue remains visiting the beach Anse Source d'Argent. It is indeed the most romantic beach of the archipelago. And a bit further, some 30 minutes by bike after winding up and down, Grand Anse Beach awaits you. Again a dream panorama.

There are so many places to visit in the Seychelles: The St. Anne Marine National Park for divers, Curious Island for rides in the mangroves and giant tortoises, Bird Island for wildlife, go fishing, surfing, sailing or outings in catamaran ... Trust me, you will not get bored in the Seychelles.

Good to know

Because the Republic of the Seychelles is a bit of an unknown island destination far away in the middle of nowhere, it’s not surprising that even the most savvy travellers have questions before they go, so here are a few essential things you need to know:

-Little time difference: +2 hours in summer and 3 hours in winter.

-Very few formalities, just a passport and a small questionnaire to be filled during the flight.

-No special vaccination.

-You can pay in euro almost everywhere.

-Make provision for a power adapter. All outlets are 220V British 3-pin.

-Businesses and shops close between 16 and 17 hours.

Celebrate your new life together with that memorable romantic experience. The Seychelles is the ideal destination for a magical honeymoon getaway. You will enjoy every moment of this unique holiday and admire the spectacular views of the Indian Ocean at every wake up.
