Australia - Work permits:
Accredited Sponsorship to sponsor 457 visas.
To encourage long term relationship with DIBP , Australian immigration has introduced Accredited Sponsorship Program that provides immigration benefits to sponsor temporary work visa 457 and also extended the visa period to 6 years from 3 year along with priority processing .
The criteria for eligibility for companies will be:
- Companies from public sector, private sector or government agency must have 4 million annual turnovers for the last 3 year.
- Active sponsor of 457 visa holders.
- Must have sponsored at least 10 applicants for 457 visa holders in the last 24 months.
- Application denial level less the 3% in last 2 years
- 75% work force in company must be from Australia.
- Written contract of employment with minimum employment entitlements as required by National Employment Standards.
- Details of the business activities undertaken by the company.
- Details on all the principals / directors of the company.
Employee salaries as per the enterprise agreement with the current market salary rates in the business.
Companies which qualify with the above said eligibility criteria can now register their application to be considered for Accredited sponsorship program status. Companies which does not come under the priority sponsors can still be a Standard business sponsor status. Australia immigration is yet to come up with confirmed inform on this in the first week of July.
Approved Accredited sponsors benefits:
Salary is equal or greater than the Fair Work High Income threshold.
Base salary of the nominated should be equal to or greater than AUD 75000.
There are exception on the base salary , provided they are from any one of the following for the following occupations.
- Sales representatives Industrial products
- Sales and marketing Manager
- Hotel Manager
- Corporate General manager
- Recruitment Consultant
- Procurement manager
- Customer service manager
- Specialist manager NEC
- Information and organization professionals NEC
- Contract administrator
- Quality assurance manager
