So I’m currently in Hong Kong, I have so many blog posts to catch up on but I wanted to do a quick fashion post. With winter slowly seeping in, that urge to get a new Coat is influenced by trends, bloggers and friends. And when it comes to purchasing that said coat it really is a personal decision whether you want to save, splurge or spend. I always feel like you should have a mix of all in your wardrobe and build up a little collection (unless you prefer the minimalism route). I’ve compiled a few of my favourites below…

SPLURGE

 Canada Goose coats are immediately recognisable, not only from their logo but their quality and fit too. Perfect for snow, skiing or those colder climates (like Canada, duh), these coats will be a solid staple on your life for years to come.

You can find kids Canada Goose coats for the younger ones in your life too. 

SPEND

I always feel like you should spend a little more on an everyday coat in a classic style such as a pea coat, trench or double-breasted. These look great over a workwear or a casual outfit and its worth spending a little more so they last.

SAVE

Saving on a going out coat makes sense as how often do we actually go out? A couple times throughout the party season? That way if you save a little bit you can spend more on treating yourself through the January blues. For a going out coat, I’d highly suggest faux fur or embellishment which can lift a plain outfit to new dimensions.
