What Is An Empanada Pino?

Empanadas can be found in many countries within Europe, North America, South America and even in Southeast Asia. But Chilean Empanadas are a true one-of-a-kind. Chilean empanadas are often cooked in an oven and with the dough and fillings inside, one is just enough to satisfy your hunger. You can also find fried empanadas in places near the coast such as Valparaíso, Reñaca, Viña del Mar and etc. But in Santiago, you will find many stores that sell oven empanadas.

There are a variety of empanadas, ranging from plain queso to carne to marisco. But the most Chilean Empanada is definitely one called, “Pino”! Inside a pino empanada, there are: grounded beef, onions, 1 olive and 1 hard egg.
