of three criteria: pay per lead, this method pays an affiliate for
individuals who supply information such that the merchant can
re-contact them- such as people who fill out surveys. The second
method is pay per sale, whereby the merchant pays the affiliate
a dollar amountfor each sale, or a percentage of the product's
purchase price. And the 3rd method is a "pay-per-click", where
the merchant pays the affiliate each time a potential customer clicks
on one of the affiliate's ads. In each case, the affiliate needs to
be solidly informed on how, and when, the affiliate will be paid.
