Google Releases List of its Most Searched Topics for 2018

As part of its annual tradition, Google just released its list of 2018’s most searched topics.

Every year, Google processes around 1.2 trillion searches from millions of people across the world. For perspective, that’s about 40,000 queries every second. Google collects all that search data and sums it all up to form the Google Year in Search. This is an annual list of the search engine’s most searched topics.

The list reflects the names of people, events, organizations and other queries that received the most attention from people globally. Google calculates this based on people’s increased interest in a particular Topic over the year.

The 2018 Google Year in Search list is noticeably dominated by names of people who made global impacts but whose lives were cut short by death. Surprisingly, no gadget or tech company made it to the list.

Here are the top 10 most Searched Topics on Google this 2018.
