YouTube wants to end the 30 seconds of mandatory advertisements

YouTube is preparing a major overhaul of its Advertising Formats. The company should remove the Mandatory Advertisements by 30 seconds.

Who never got annoyed at a long publicity that he could not pass before a YouTube video? To content its users, Google (owner of YouTube) would like to modify its advertising system. A way to retain users who sometimes tended to zap a video when it started with 30 seconds of advertising.

Advertisements limited to 20 seconds. In a statement, the firm of Mountain View announces that it will, from 2018, finish with the mandatory advertisements lasting 30 seconds before the beginning of a video. This removal will be part of a larger overhaul of advertising formats on YouTube. Google explains already wanting to “focus on formats that work for both users and advertisers.” There is no question of no longer offering advertisers ads that can not be zapped. Simply put, this should not exceed 20 seconds.

Find new formats. New advertising formats are also under consideration and could be added to the existing offer for advertisers. Google will have to make up for the shortfall caused by the removal of mandatory 30-second ads.
