Malware infect computers without clicking links

Security researchers have discovered that cybercriminals have recently started using the Malware download program, which installs Trojan malware related to business, banking and bank accounts on the victim’s computer even if the user does not click on anything.

Many users believe that they are safe from malware once they do not click on suspicious links, but someone has found a new way to install them on the computer. All that the attacker needs to download the malware is to move the mouse over a Hyperlink within A vector file of the PowerPoint type.

According to researchers at Trend Micro and Dodge, this security technology was used by the latest spam campaign targeting companies and organizations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the subject of these emails was mostly related to financial matters such as fowr and purchase orders with the offer PowerPoint presentation.

The PowerPoint attachment contains one hyperlink in the middle of the file that says “Loading … Please Wait”, which contains a malicious PowerShell embedded script, and the malicious script is executed by Simply Hovering over the hyperlink.

Users of the latest version of the Microsoft Office software package need to agree to download malware before they can infect the computer, because newer versions of the Office software package have a protected view, which alerts the user when the script starts A security problem.

The user can click the “Disable” option to not allow these scripts to work, but users of older versions of the package do not have that extra layer of security and protection, and that malware can steal user credentials and bank account information by simply hovering over the hyperlink .
