Apple develops chip for industrial intelligence for upcoming devices

Apple is developing a microprocessor for industrial Intelligence capabilities to be included in its future devices. The company has started its first early step in artificial intelligence with its introduction of the Smart Voice Syriac in 2011 that allows users to turn on their smartphones using voice commands.

The company is developing a dedicated processor for tasks related to Industrial Intelligence, according to a Bloomberg report citing a source familiar with the matter. The person who asked not to be identified said the product, known internally as the “Apple Neural Engine,” would improve the way you deal with it. The company’s hardware with tasks that require human intelligence such as face recognition and speech.

The processor is also used in operations such as helping to manage battery life and power management better, and can be used in future products such as self-driving cars or digital glasses as well as iPhones and iPads.

The news comes at a time when competitors such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft have made significant progress in artificial intelligence, and Google showed at its developers conference last week how to add artificial intelligence capabilities to a variety of products from phones to headphones connected to cars.

The manufacturer of iPhone phones is far behind the competition when it comes to artificial intelligence technologies, which can run the next generation of connected devices. In the past year, the company has made some improvements to its audio assistant Siri, allowing third-party developers access to limited categories such as messaging And payments.

Current Apple devices use two different chips to handle complex AIs, the first processor and the graphics chip. The new chip allows the ability to handle these functions into a custom unit designed for industrial intelligence, allowing Apple to improve battery performance.
