Google developers are working on Froyo Rom for the myTouch 3G and this was smelled on the Android Froyo launch event, at Google I/O Conference 2010. ChiefzReloaded has been working hard to get the Froyo ROM working and the release announcement might come any day. The interesting thing is that the ROM itself is fully working Android 2.2 port that is being developed and tested on a T-Mobile myTouch
According to AndroidSPIN, ChiefzReloaded managed to get the date and cellular service up and running. Till now he made it to make and receive calls on his MyTouch handset. There are also several other Android Froyo features working on MyTouch 3G device, such as:
* Radio
* Gapps
* Widgets (That the SDK came with)
* Updated Kernel
* New Froyo launcher and homescreen
* USB mounting
* Homescreen preview ability
It’s being believed that the Android Froyo ROM for MyTouch 3G my get released within a week period. And yes, since G1 is the godfather of Android phones, developers might releases the ROM for this device as well.
