Troubleshoot Lexmark printer won’t print

Check if the printer is connected properly–

If it is connected wirelessly, make sure the internet is working fine. And also check if the printer is able to connect to your wireless network and restart your router.

Restart Print spooler service–

Restarting the print spooler service may also fix the problem. To do this you have to go to the search option by clicking on the start button and type “Computer Management”. Click on the computer management and click on “Services and application” down below, it will give you a list of services .You need to locate “print spooler service” make a right click on it and click on “restart”.

Once you restart the print spooler service, try printing a document to see if the problem is fixed.

Reinstall the printer drivers-

Sometimes outdated drivers or corrupted drivers may also be the problem. So reinstalling the drivers would fix the problem. To reinstall, the drivers you need to visit Lexmark official website http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=driverSupport&locale=en&userlocale=EN_US. Once you visit the website you need to choose the model number for your Lexmark printer, the operating system that you use on the computer, the version of operating system and language then click on submits. Once you submit, it will display the recommended driver software, click on that and it will navigate you to the download page. Click on download and run the setup after downloading. Wait for it to finish the installation and reboot the computer.

Set up the Lexmark printer as your default Printer-

Generally the computer assigns your printer the default printer status but this might gets changed due to any reason. So you have to reassign your Lexmark printer as the default printer. To do this, you have to go to control panel, select Devices and printers,  go to the listed Lexmark printer , make a right click on it and click on set as default printer.

Make sure the paper tray of the Lexmark printer is filled– Sometimes if the paper tray on the Lexmark printer does not have enough papers, it might not print. So you need to fill the tray with enough papers.
