The Samsung shops in the Baltic States started to accept the cryptocurrency

Official Samsung stores in the Baltic countries announced they are to accept seven different cryptocurrencies.

Thanks to a partnership with the company Coppay payment processing customers of Samsung stores in Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius and Kaunas will be able to pay with BTC, ETH, DASH, NEM, STEEM, XRP and LTC.

Platform Coppay is a European FINTECH company that offers solutions for payment in cryptocurrency. The company announced that Samsung confirmed its slogan, “Turn on the Future” (future Turn on), and started to accept seven different cryptocurrencies.

Customers in Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius and Kaunas can buy smartphones, tablets, laptops, TVs and more using digital money.

Cryptocurrencies are extremely popular in the Baltic States. There are plenty of shops, cafes, hotels etc that accept the cryptocurrency. Regulatory policy in the Baltic region is almost absent, with the exception of Latvia, where there is a 20 percent tax on capital gains, which applies to cryptocurrencies.

Payment processor Coppay works similarly to the Bitpay platform, merchants can store payment in bitcoin, convert to Fiat or use a combination of these solutions. The company hopes to connect with other sellers of Samsung products to their system in the near future.
