Microsoft-owned expert networking platform LinkedIn on Thursday announced that it is presenting a new feature called Your Commute that will assist task applicants factor in the commute time that the tasks they are obtaining entails. With the brand-new function, LinkedIn will assist users compute the potential commute time, depending upon mode of transport, and show time-based outcomes, even before you request the role. The function will be readily available on the LinkedIn mobile app.

On the app, a new ‘See Your Commute’ choice will be visible on the task listings page. You can even choose the time of commute to reveal the duration based upon average traffic situation. LinkedIn likewise revealed that it will soon roll out a function where users can save their address information locally on their phone, eliminating the need of typing it in on every such circumstances.

Apart from that, users can also add in their commute preferences from the Career Interests tab to get tailored recommendations. Preferences consist of commute start point, mode of transportation, the amount of time you want to commute for, and start time. Address and commute preferences are stated to be stored as personal details.
