Asperitas and Boston announce Immersed Computing partnership

Dutch cleantech company Asperitas and Boston, with headquarters in the UK, have announced a partnership on Immersed Computing.

Asperitas and Boston will be working on the integration of the Asperitas Immersed Computing solutions in the existing portfolio of hardware solutions of Boston, to be offered to customers with high performance requirements.

Immersed Computing is a technology developed by Asperitas. The concept is based on total liquid cooling or immersion cooling as others call it. Asperita’s first solution, a plug and play data centre in a box solution, launched one year ago at the Cloud Expo Europe event in London.

Since Asperitas launched their solution they have received numerous award nominations and deployed several installations including a high density 300kW dedicated Immersed Computing facility in Eindhoven in The Netherlands. Their focus is on bringing sustainable, efficient and flexible data centres anywhere, including high density data centres for emerging technologies.

Global system integrator Boston recently celebrated their 25 years in business. Since its founding in London, UK, Boston has expanded operations globally. Following on from the successful launch of Boston IT Solutions India in 2009, Boston launched Boston Server and Storage Solutions GmbH in Germany a year later, with offices also opening on the West and East coast, USA in 2012.

Manoj Nayee, managing director of Boston says, “With the ever-growing debate around environmental responsibility, alongside the constant strive to increase efficiency and lower operational costs, the IT industry is having to re-evaluate its practices and approaches to problems.”

“Since our inception 25 years ago, Boston has been at the forefront of technology working closely with strategic partners to deliver cutting edge technologies with real world benefits. Our partnership with Asperitas ushers in an exciting new chapter for our business and for our customers delivering radically improved datacentre cooling solutions coupled with intelligent energy recovery and reduced operational costs.”

Founder and CEO of Asperitas, Rolf Brink adds, “Since our R&D phase we have been working with partners and we strongly believe strategic partnerships are key to bring Immersed Computing to the next level. We are excited to team up with Boston, they get our technology and customers.”
