Huawei Freebud 2 Pro: Wireless Earbuds Launched With BoneID, Claims To Be AirPod Rival

Many smartphone manufacturers are removing 3.5mm headphone jack, ditched by Apple long ago. Huawei unveiled its own truly wireless earbuds, named Freebud 2 Pro which somehow looks like AirPod’s clone.

The newly launched earbuds come in a charging case like Apple AirPods. Above that, Freebud 2 Pro can be charged wirelessly. It can also be charged on Huawei Mate 20 Pro. 

The wireless earbuds feature a Bone Conduction Technology, called as ‘BoneID Technology’ which enables them to recognize the user with a mix of voice and bone sound pattern recognition. The earbuds can even identify the speaker, who’s speaking into them. This AI feature enable users to use their voice for biometric authentication on payment platforms like WeChat Pay and Alipay.

The Huawei earbuds support Bluetooth 5.0, features 13mm drivers, a dynamic horn and semi-in-ear design. There are 2 microphones on each earbud, which help reduce ambient noise. It comes with IP54 waterproof rating, which will make you use in Gym or workout sessions without worries. Either of them can be tapped to activate its voice assistant, control music playback, answer calls and more. 

The Huawei’s freebud 2 pro, claims to last up to 2.5 hours on a single charge with the included wireless case providing an additional 15 hours of use. Each of them weighs 4.1g and measures 43mm x 18.6mm. Whereas, The dimensions of the charging box measures 50.5mm x 45mm x 24.5mm.

Huawei Freebud 2 Pro Price And Availability

Huawei launched the wireless earphones in China at a Price of Rs.10,400 (approx). The earphones are available to purchase from Vmall, Tmall, Sunning.com, and JD.com. As of now, There is no official word regarding an Indian launch.
