How Close is Science to Cure AIDS and HIV?

AIDS (Aquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is a global epidemic. Over 39 people have died so far with Aids. Drug Therapies could not actually means to fully Cure the disease, it just increase the normal life span. But its very expensive and is not a permanent solution.

It is estimated that an average life span with HIV costs $620,000. What we really need? We actually need Vaccine for long term solution.

After fighting this virus over 40 years only one man cured which we don't understand how and can't do again but still we learned a lot. One scientist figure out how the virus worked, they needed to figure out then how to eradicate it.

This technique uses a protein called Cas9 to cut DNA wherever it programmed to. It's part of our own cell's immune system. Cas9 could use in this research program If it find the virus it could cut that part and let DNA heal itself. This can be done in lab. But we can't apply this on humans yet.

Drugs to control virus is still a better way to live semi-normal life.Researches to control AIDS also tells us about other diseases like Hepatitis C and Zika virus.Scientists are working hard day and day to find out a permanent way.
