Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) Now Receiving Android Oreo Update

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) has started receiving Android Oreo update ahead of its scheduled date. The update has been scheduled for December or in January 2019 but in Vietnam, the smartphone is receiving an early update.

As reported by GetDroidTips, the Oreo update has the build number A910FXXU1CRIA and is topped with Samsung Experience UI 9.0 along with other features such as notification dots, night light, Picture-in-Picture mode, etc.

As the name suggests, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) was announced in March 2016 in the premium mid-range segment. It came with 32GB of internal storage so if you have been using this handset for a year and longer then you might want to get to cleaning all the junk in your phone because the Android Oreo update weighs about 2.09 GB in size.

It has been reported that this update is rolled out via OTA (over the air) in phases so it may take a little time to reach your device. In the meantime, you can manually check the update by going to Setting> About Phone> Software Update.
