Apple planning to make iPhone X support mandatory for App Developers by April

Apple has recently declared that all the new Apps that are submitted to the App Store will have to support Iphone X’s Super Retina display. The rule will come into effect from April 2018.
The Apple team has circulated an email to all the developers in which they have announced that all the new iOS apps have to support the super retina display of iPhone X April onwards. That means all the iOS app developers are supposed to develop apps that support edge-to-edge and notch display, and are built with iOS 11 SDK.
As per the experts, the tech giant informed all the app developers to update their iOS apps for the new iPhone design a week before the launch of iPhone X. However, only a fraction of apps in the app store has undergone the necessary changes till date. Thus, Apple has now taken this action of making the iPhone X design support mandatory for all the upcoming mobile applications.
Moreover, the company wanted app developers to adopt the new features, including ARKit, SiriKit and CoreML at the earliest, but this does not mean that all the iOS apps have to be integrated with Machine Learning, Siri or Augmented Reality; apps with simple functionalities will also be acceptable in the app store.
While the new apps have to support iPhone X design latest by April, the tech giant has not yet disclosed any deadline for the existing apps to enter into the new iPhone X world. This implies that the Apple team wants to encourage the app developers for adopting the new design, but does not want to make this whole process cumbersome for them.
