Amazon’s voice assistant is slowly infiltrating all aspects of the smart home. In fact, we’re pretty sure talking toasters are somewhere in our future… but not before chatty soundbars make an entrance. This spring, Polk Audio is releasing the Command Bar, a home theatre soundbar with integrated Amazon Alexa, plus HDMI throughput that supports 4K HDR.

The Command Bar offers all Alexa skills, so you can control your connected home from your TV setup – you’ll never have to leave the sofa again.

The soundbar has Echo-style hardware buttons on top and a remote control featuring an Alexa Action Button designed to lower the volume to ensure your commands are heard. If we get a Command Bar we’ll be using it to stream music too – and asking Alexa to DJ.
