AV distribution brand Blustream has entered the race for control with an App and hardware developed by UK based DemoPad Software Ltd.

Blustream says its new Control App offers installers the ability to configure and deploy a complete multi-room AV control system within minutes.

Chris Tolton, technical manager at Blustream explains: “The Blustream Control App makes delivering multi-room control so easy. We have developed the platform to enable an installer with basic knowledge of control to configure and commission a dedicated control solution for the customer. The only additional hardware you need to complete this is the new £148 Centro 8M processor from Demopad.

“This pocket-sized processor can be placed at any location within a property and added to the local network. Once on the same network as the matrix you can then easily configure a full multi-room system from within the App, adding the sources and displays required and naming all zones. Once the set-up is complete, you can simply download the project for free to as many iOS devices as required, giving the customer a fully working AV control system within minutes of the installation.”

The CENTRO 8M is essentially the brain of a smart home system and has some strong automation features that are unlocked using the DemoPad designer software including voice control, advanced macro’s, astronomically timed events or turning a SKY or Tivo remote into a fully functional smart home control unit.
