CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The innovation conference DIG SOUTH ICON is underway in Charleston with an enthusiastic crowd of entrepreneurs and students gaining insight and inspiration from one another and a slate of engaging speakers. Dr. Robert Cooper led a morning of "Super Keynotes" with Breakthrough: The New Neuroscience of Accomplishing the "Impossible" shining light on how our brains work and how understanding that enables innovators to better maximize their peak times of creativity.
His presentation was followed by Jet.com President Liza Landsman giving a somewhat technical tour of how her company followed industry leaders Walmart, Costco, and Amazon in identifying niche aspects of retail and re-envisioning eCommerce.
