Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Burnley this Sunday provided them with a much-needed boost in terms of qualifying for the Champions League next season. Whilst still a point behind rivals Manchester City, that’s a gap that can easily be atoned for later this week in the Manchester derby.
United didn’t have much trouble seeing off a Burnley side that have given travelling sides some headaches in the past. In fact, both of the goals came during the first half itself as Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial ensured that United could take it relatively easy during the second half.
The fact that United were having no problems bossing Sean Dyche’s men was evident when Marouane Fellaini of all people got into the act with some uncharacteristic tekkers of his own. Normally known for his off-the-ball exploits, the Belgian pulled off a pretty slick side heel pass to Ander Herrera when under a little pressure.
