One of our most popular custom velcro Patches is the Band of Brothers custom team patch, so we have decided to make it into a more popular patch by adding the Blackout stitching to it.
Although it has proven difficult to photograph the patches properly, we know that the thread colors are absolutely perfect. The background of the patches will always be black, and the thread is a few shades lighter than the background - just a few - so the blackout thread will show up on the black background, but still be very subdued. In earlier times, if people wanted blackout patches, we used black thread on a black background. That worked, but it was difficult to read any writing on the patch unless you were up close to it. The blackout patches with the special blackout color took care of all of that, and you can read and see the design on the patch much better, but it still retains the tactical subdued effect. We have heard back from many people saying that our blackout patches are the best patches yet, and they love the blackout effect! Quite a few law enforcement personnel have been trying out our blackout patches and we have some great reviews.
On the picture above, the flash kind of makes it look blue-ish, but the real life colors are much better. Here is a picture of more blackout patches with a different camera and in better lighting:
Now you can see that the thread color is much better! there is no blue, just a subdued black color. We will do better pictures of the blackout patches so that the true colors are easier to be seen!
