Today's Gossip: United, Arsenal Battle For Reus; Blues Line Up Conte's Replacement

Four Premier League clubs are battling it out for a Liverpool striker, while Manchester United have are monitoring Dortmund’s injury plagued star, according to Wednesday’s papers.

Manchester United and Arsenal are considering a move for Marco Reus, reports Bild, with the Borussia Dortmund star's contract set to expire in 2019.
The 28-year-old has been forced to endure a crippling run of injuries to damage his prime years as a winger and with his current contract predicament, a cut-price sale has emerged as a possibility.

The Germany international has seen his World Cup 2014 and Euro 2016 dreams wrecked by injuries and has failed to appear at all under Peter Bosz this campaign.

A change of scenery could help Reus refocus and maximise the last remaining years where he can marry exceptional touch and skill with speed and penetration in the final third.

Coutinho And Klopp Relationship Broken
Fresh off Tuesday's rumour that Liverpool are now willing to sell Philippe Coutinho, Sport reports that the relationship between the Selecao star and Reds Boss Jurgen Klopp is broken beyond repair.
The former Inter starlet has not forgiven Klopp for standing in his way from leaving Anfield for Barcelona this summer, the report continues.

One shocking revelation is that Klopp vowed to walk himself, before the Champions League qualifier with Hoffenheim, if Liverpool owners FSG sold Coutinho.

The player was thought to be angered and that the reported back complaint was invented to provide some time for tensions to cool down.

Whether Klopp can extract the very best from Coutinho on a regular basis remains to be seen as the former Dortmund Boss now fights to avoid the Reds' season spiralling out of control.

Chelsea Prepare £10m-A-Year Offer For Napoli Boss Sarri
Chelsea have set their sights on Napoli boss Mauricio Sarri as the heir to Antonio Conte, according to reports in Italy.

According to 7 Gold television, representatives of Chelsea are working towards presenting an official offer for the highly-rated Serie A manager.
There are rumours of a dressing room rift between the Blues players and Conte, and the Italian coach could leave at the end of the season or sooner.

They claim that Sarri has a release clause in his contract with Napoli worth €7.5m-a-season, but Chelsea see this as no obstacle and are ready to offer up a salary worth €12m per year.

Sarri has attracted a range of plaudits for his brand of football, nicknamed ‘Sarrismo’, with even Pep Guardiola claiming they were “one of the best teams I have ever faced, as a player and a Coach.”

Casillas Pushes Towards Porto Exit
Iker Casillas is being shoved out the door by Porto due to his massive £4.5 million-per-year wages and the FFP implications the Dragoes could face, according to the Sun.
The former Real Madrid star could therefore be available at a cut price for someone in January, as the 36-year-old could walk away for free next summer and Porto are keen to save on wages and hopefully recoup a small fee.

Dropped from the starting XI by Porto boss Sergio Conceicao, it would be sad to see to one of Europe's most decorated players end his career on the bench.

United Open Midfielder Talks
Manchester United have opened talks with Valencia over a £30million deal for midfielder Carlos Soler, according to a report.

The Sun claims that Jose Mourinho wants to wrap up a deal for the Spain U21 international before next season and as a result has moved quickly for his man.
With Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick out of contract in the summer, Mourinho is looking for a long-term option to play alongside Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.

The report claims that the Special One doesn’t want to get drawn into a bidding war with other clubs for the 20-year-old.

Soler has established himself in Valencia’s first team since coming up as a teenager from Valencia’s reserves two years ago.

The Sun states that he has a buyout clause of £75million but the Spaniards are ‘set to accept a cash offer for their young star’.
