EPL Recap: Arsenal Lose 3-0 At Crystal Palace, Lose Further Ground In Race For UCL Qualification

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal 3-0
Arsenal made the short trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in a Monday Night Fixture that would see the Gunners climb back to fifth if they secured a win.

But their hopes for a lift in the table and Champions League qualification were dashed with Crystal Palace seeing them off in a comfortable 3-0 win.

Andros Townsend opened the scoring with a nice finish from a Wilfried Zaha low cross to mark his 250th club football appearance.

Arsenal would fall further behind when the Ivorian winger would pick out Yohan Cabaye who let out a powerful dipping strike worthy of breaking a long goal drought at the Selhurst.

Luka Milivojevic would convert a penalty after Andros Townsend would go down after a challenge by Emiliano Martinez, sending the Eagles' faithful into sheer joy as their team edged closer to a first Premier League win against Arsenal on their ground.

Wenger's men have now lost four successive away Premier League games, conceding three goals in each, and their chances of qualifying for the Champions League - as they have every season under the Frenchman - are fading fast, with a seven-point gap to make up on fourth-placed Manchester City.
