Tigers looking at Kyle Lohse

It seems the Detroit Tigers would still like to add some pitching depth this spring, as the latest name they are connected to is veteran right hander Kyle Lohse. The rumor comes after Anibal Sanchez had an injury scare two weeks into Spring Training.

Tigers r very relieved Anibal Sanchez looked so good Monday. But they are emphasizing depth and have been eying kyle lohse

Lohse could be a good depth signing for the Tigers, and he would come cheap. At this point in the spring, it is likely that Lohse will sign a minor league deal with a team. The only other team that has expressed interest in him is the Miami Marlins.

Lohse last pitched for the Milwaukee Brewers last season, going 5-14 while posting a dismal 5.85 ERA. One other alarming stat is the frequency in which Lohse gives up home runs. He gave up a career high 29 last season with a HR% (% of fly balls that were home runs) of 10.9%.
