On Thursday, news broke that the Detroit Tigers had decided to hire Ron Gardenhire as their next manager and it would become official once the contract negotiations were completed.
Well, according to Jon Morosi, the deal between the Tigers and Gardenhire will be for three years and that a formal announcement could come as early as Friday.

Gardenhire, who is is 59-years-old, knows the Amercian League Central very well as he spent 13 seasons as the skipper for the Minnesota Twins. During his time in Minnesota, Gardenhire led the Twins to six division titles.
