Tips for Attending the New York Air Show – Hudson Valley News Network

GOSHEN – The U.S. Navy Blue Angels jet demonstration squadron will headline the 2017 New York Air Show on July 1-2 at Stewart International Airport in New Windsor. Here are some tips and frequently asked questions that will help spectators enjoy the show safely: Gates open each day at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Flight performances take place from Noon to 4 p.m. If you leave the air show, re-entry to the event is not allowed. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk. The runway at Stewart Airport is lengthy. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are all recommended for protection from the sun. Hearing protection, especially for children is also recommended. Ear plugs are available at the New York Air Show. Due to security regulations, coolers, outside food and beverages, canteens, camelbacks, weapons of any kind, tent structures, self-standing umbrellas are all prohibited.
