TRICKS TO REMEMBER BANK HEADQUARTERS


First Tricks: All banks that have 'India' at the end of their name have their headquarters in Mumbai
Examples: State Bank of India, Bank of India, Central bank of India, Reserve Bank of India, Union Bank of India, IDBI,Security & Exchange Board of India- all have their headquarter in Mumbai
Exception: United bank of India 

Second Tricks: All bank that have 'Indian' at the starting of their name have their headquarters in Chennai
Examples: Indian overseas Bank, Indian Bank- all have their headquarter in Chennai

Third Tricks: To remember the banks which have their headquarter in Delhi Please remember this code - "In Delhi, Punjabi girs excel in commerce!"
Explanation:

  • Punjab & Sind Bank (punjabi)- headquarter in Delhi
  • Punjab National Bank (punjabi)- headquarter in Delhi
  • Oriental Bank of Commerce (commerce)- headquarter in Delhi
  • Bhartiya Mahila Bank (girls)- headquarter in Delhi

Fourth Tricks: Banks that start with 'U' have their headquarter in Kolkata
Examples: UCO Bank, United Bank of India- all have their headquarter in Kolkata
Exceptions: First is Union Bank of India(Mumbai). Starts with U but has headquarters in Mumbai. Another is Allahabad Bank(Kolkata)

Fifth Tricks: Those banks that have South Indian names have their headquarter in Bangalore.
Examples: Canara Bank, Vijaya Bank- all have their headquarter in Bangalore

Sixth Tricks: Some banks headquarter include in their name, so it is easy to remember their headquarter
Examples: Bank of Baroda(Baroda), Bank of Maharashtra(Pune), Andhra Bank(Hyderabad)

Seventh Tricks: There are two remaining banks that you need to remember
Examples: 

  • Syndicate Bank-Manipal
  • CorporationBank-Mangalore
