Man City Beat Fulham in Carabao Cup, Concern Over De Bruyne

Manchester City keeping their shot in winning the Carabao Cup this season as Pep Guardiola’s men made their way into the next stage of that competitino following their 2-0 victory over Fulham.

City put out their usual possession based attacking football in such dominant fashion and were able to overcome their opponent, despite resting several of their important players.

Two goals from the home team were both scored by their young talent, Brahim Diaz, who received strong praises from Guardiola as the tactician is hoping that the youngster will remain at Etihad amid his expiring deal.

In terms of performance, there’s  not much concern worth noting from the former Barcelona boss over his players’ performance, but the Spaniard is sweating over the condition of his star man, Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgium international who has just recently return from a long injury was seen limping off the pitch during that midweek Carabao Cup match, leaving Guardiola worried.

There’s no update confirmation that can be shared as just yet regarding De Bruyne’s condition as he is still being constantly checked by Man City’s doctors, so it’s all bout hope for now that the attacking midfielder didn’t pick up another injury.

Albeit having been able to cope with the Belgium international’s absence so far, but it’s certainly essential for City in getting their star man back at his best when the season starts getting tougher.
