DB/WR Chase Williams Commits To Nebraska Football

Calibraska keeps flowing with a four-star addition

We were told by Mike Riley that the Nebraska Cornhuskers would have a “tenth verbal” sometime by Friday. Brendan Radley-Hiles called his shot more yesterday.

And, low and behold, we have another one. Wideout/Defensive Back Chase Williams of Corona, California, is the newest Nebraska verbal.

Williams, who plays at Eleanor Roosevelt HS, is the 185th best player in the 2018 cycle, according to 247Sports’ composite. He is also the 36th best Wide Receiver & the 24th best player in the state of California according to 247Sports as well.

The fact that Williams seems to conquer where ever he plays on the field is a pretty good problem to have. I would think that Nebraska sees him as a WR, especially at being 6’1. That being said, Donte’ Williams was his primary contact, so he may be an answer at DB just as well.

This is Nebraska’s fifth commitment that’s inside 2018’s Top 247 ranking by 247Sports. Ironically, the heavy lifting that D. Williams was supposed to do when he arrived is already happening.

With Chase in the fold, that sticks Nebraska back in the Top 10 in the 2018 recruiting cycle nationally by 247, as well as keeps them 4th in the Big Ten Conference. It’s very possible that Nebraska is halfway past their full point in the ‘18 cycle, so if they keep hitting at this level, boy howdy will it be a big one.
