STURRIDGE AND ORIGI MUST START IN EFL CUP

Following on from Liverpool's downing of bogey-team West Brom on Saturday, Jurgen Klopp must now look to Tuesday's EFL/League Cup encounter against Spurs at Anfield.

Daniel Sturridge was an unused sub against Tony Pulis's team while Divok Origi was a last-minute introduction in the 2-1 victory against The Baggies, Danny Ings has also been banging in the goals for the Under 23's.

It is fair to say that neither striker are too happy playing second-fiddle to Firmino and Mané and both non-starters will relish a run-out against Tottenham on Tuesday night.

While Klopp might favour a same team again formula, he will have to change things around to keep his squad fresh and happy.

Mané and Firmino have started the Season on fire, propelling the Reds into second place in the Premier League on 20 points so far.
Cool, as Klopp would say, but not so cool if your other attackers are left sitting on the bench every other match.

Daniel Sturridge has been given starts without scoring this Season while the ever-improving Divock Origi has barely got a look-in.

Time to unleash these two against Spurs on Tuesday at Anfield, with Ings to start on the bench, they are bound to get amongst the goals.
