LIVERPOOL WILL HAVE TO IMPROVE TO BEAT SPURS IN THE EFL CUP

Liverpool have been handed a tough draw in the 4th round of the EFL Cup against Spurs at Anfield in October.

We had a facile win at Derby County 3-0 on Tuesday evening where lots of good Liverpool play was spoiled by some average football against a Derby team currently in the lower reaches of  The Championship.

3-0 was a fair result, but it could and should have been more. Jurgen Klopp did not criticize his changed formation after the game in which Karios, Klavan and Grujic all started against Derby along with Coutinho and Origi who both scored along with Klavan who scored his 1st for Liverpool.

We also kept a clean sheet which was good but to Beat Spurs in the next round we will need our first team on show: Lovren, Milner, Wijnaldum and Mané must start if we are to beat Pochettino's Spurs who convincingly beat Gillingham 5-0 at home with goals from Erickson, Lamela and Onomah to meet us in the next round.

Game scheduled for Oct 26 I believe.
