Which Broncos Orange Crush alumni should be in the Ring of Fame?

One aspect not mentioned on the Mile High Radio Podcast is the unit as a whole should get in.

Good morning, Broncos Country! And happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there!

Here we are in the doldrums of the offseason.

There’s only so much one can talk about the quarterbacks or any competition on the Denver Broncos’ roster. No matter how much Vance Joseph loves to talk about it.

So let’s focus on something Broncos fans will always debate. On this week’s Mile High Report Radio Podcast, Adam Malnati and I went through players who could or should get in the Broncos Ring of Fame. What spurred the discussion was the announcement that Red Miller is this year’s inductee. Fittingly it’s on the 40th anniversary of the 1977 season, so it’s no coincidence it happens this season.

To get more specific on the players or coaches who could or should get in the Broncos Ring of Fame, let’s focus on the players/coaches from that team and era. So I threw out some names and Adam said yes or no, and gave a little explanation as to why.

Let’s do that again only for the community. Who are the Broncos from the Orange Crush who should get their name on the facade in the stadium and bust in the Mile High Monument on the south side of the stadium?

  • Lyle Alzado
  • Steve Foley
  • Bob Swenson
  • Joe Rizzo
  • Riley Odoms
  • Lou Saban
  • Joe Collier

One aspect I didn’t mention on the podcast is I think the Orange Crush defense should get in the Broncos Ring of Fame as as unit. I won’t get into the other players we discussed, so let’s just leave it at the Orange Crush days.

What say you, Broncos Country. Who on the list above should get in the Ring of Fame? Is there someone we missed? In the doldrums of the offseason, hopefully this helps.
